Terms of Use

Effective: 27 September 2026

These terms set out the agreement between you and EveryDrop when you use the EveryDrop mobile app or this website (together, "the service"). EveryDrop is operated by EveryDrop SCIO, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, Scottish Charity No. SC055401, registered at 9 Elrig Gate, Glasgow G44 3BA. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The short version

  • EveryDrop lets you make small donations to charities we've chosen and vetted. Your donation goes to EveryDrop SCIO, which passes it on to the featured charity.
  • Donations are gifts, not purchases, and are generally non-refundable.
  • We don't keep any part of your donation for ourselves.
  • Be honest, be kind, and keep your account details safe.

Who can use EveryDrop

You must be at least 18 years old to make a donation through the service. If you are under 18, you may only donate with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. By donating you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

Your account

To use the app you create an account with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date. If you think someone else has accessed your account, tell us straight away at [email protected].

You can delete your account at any time from within the app or by following the steps on our delete your data page.

How donations work

The app invites you to make a small donation — typically between £1 and £10 — to a charity featured that day. EveryDrop selects the featured charities; you cannot direct a donation to an organisation we haven't chosen. You can pay by Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details.

Every donation you make is a donation to EveryDrop SCIO. We then pass the funds on to the featured charity. Donations are voluntary gifts, not payments for goods or services, and you receive nothing in return other than the experience the app provides. Donations are unrestricted: the receiving charity decides how best to use them.

If a featured charity can no longer accept funds (for example, if it closes or no longer meets our vetting standards), we will pass your donation to a charity working on the same cause.

Fees

EveryDrop does not retain any part of your donation for itself. Payment processing fees charged by our payment provider are deducted before funds are passed on; we work to keep these as low as possible.

Refunds

Because donations are gifts, they are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or where a donation was made in error (for example, a duplicate payment or an amount you did not intend). If you think a mistake has been made, email [email protected] as soon as possible and we'll look into it.

Gift Aid

We do not currently claim Gift Aid on donations. We may offer Gift Aid in future; if we do, we will ask you to make a Gift Aid declaration before anything is claimed.

Content and information

The app and website include educational content about global problems and the charities working on them. We take care to make it accurate, but it is provided for general information only. It is not financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice, and impact figures are illustrative rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Acceptable use

Please use the service honestly and respectfully. You must not:

  • use a payment method you aren't authorised to use, or attempt to make fraudulent donations;
  • interfere with the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or introduce malicious code;
  • copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service or its content;
  • post or share anything unlawful, abusive, or misleading through any community feature;
  • use the service in a way that could harm EveryDrop, the charities we support, or other users.

Intellectual property

The EveryDrop name, logo, app, website, and content — including text, design, artwork, and the card collection — belong to EveryDrop SCIO or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Charity names and logos belong to their respective organisations and are used to identify them.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we withdraw the service. Where practical we'll give you notice. Donations already made and passed on to charities are not affected.

Our liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, or for any business loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when we add features or when the law changes. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date above. For significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any dispute will be dealt with by the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
