About us
EveryDrop exists to make generosity a calm daily practice. Each day for thirty days, you meet one of the world's hardest problems and an organisation doing extraordinary work on it, give a small amount, and watch the world come into focus.
The idea began with a piece of research: across countries and income levels, people who spend money on others report being happier than people who spend it on themselves. Most of us mean to give more than we do; what's missing isn't goodwill but a practice. EveryDrop is that practice, a bounded thirty-day journey of learning and giving, designed to be calm rather than addictive. No streaks, no guilt, no leaderboards.
We are equally committed to the other half of the problem: knowing where giving actually helps. Every organisation on the platform passes a documented four-stage vetting assessment built on regulator filings, independent evaluators such as GiveWell and Founders Pledge, and the academic evidence behind each intervention. We publish a research summary for every charity, including the open questions we are still monitoring.
EveryDrop is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), Scottish Charity No. SC055401, registered in 2026 and regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). Donations made through EveryDrop are held as restricted income for the charity you chose and passed on in regular bulk transfers, which keeps costs low so more of each gift reaches the field.
Joseph founded EveryDrop and built the platform himself, using AI tools in place of a development team, an approach he has written about in the notebook. His starting point was the happiness research above: if giving genuinely makes life better, then the kindest thing a piece of technology can do is help people discover that for themselves. He writes all of EveryDrop's notebook posts.
EveryDrop is governed by a board of trustees responsible for its charitable purposes, finances and the integrity of the vetting framework. Two further trustee appointments are currently being completed and will be announced here.
