Why we vet every charity ourselves

When you give through EveryDrop, you are trusting us to have chosen well. We take that seriously.
Every organisation on the platform passes a documented four-stage assessment: it must advance a recognised charitable purpose, show real and identifiable public benefit, demonstrate sound governance, and be backed by independent evidence that the work is effective.
We rely on public, professionally-prepared sources rather than claims we cannot check: charity-regulator filings and audited accounts first, then independent evaluators like GiveWell and Founders Pledge, then the academic evidence on the intervention itself. A charity is normally only approved when that evidence lines up. And approval is not forever: we re-check every organisation each year, and review the list quarterly.
You can read the result for yourself: each organisation has a public research summary on our charities page, including what independent evaluators say and the open questions we are still monitoring.
